Practice Persistence

Practice staying persistent and achieving your goals in 3 steps. Persistence is built from a growth mindset, passion, and a goal. If you are reading this newsletter, it means you already have a growth mindset. Everyone is passionate about something. Now, what can you do with your goals?

1. Set a SMART goal:

S – Specific – clear and narrow destination
M – Measurable – how will you measure the progress and success
A – Attainable – possible to accomplish in a certain time
R – Relevant – does it align with your values and future plans?
T – Time-based – set a realistic, specific deadline

2. Break that goal into small and easy to achieve steps so that you can see the progress and don’t get demotivated.

3. Build a habit to bring you closer to that goal. You can do that, by committing to an activity that you can do every day for at least 100 days. It could be just 5, 10, or 15 minutes a day. It should be easy, realistic, and fun enough to keep you motivated. It will help you to stay focused and to keep moving in the most challenging times.

This week’s prompt is to fill out your commitment pledge:

“Today, I am committing myself to the achievement of my goal to (FILL IN YOUR GOAL HERE). I am aware that success is not easy, it takes time, and that I will fail along the way. I won’t see the results right away but will continue to work on my goal daily by (INSERT YOUR DAILY HABIT HERE) until I succeed. I will achieve my goal by (ENTER DATE).”
